Artistic ceramics: the Molaroni collection at Casa Bucci in Pesaro
The history of Pesaro ceramics comes back to life in the spaces of Casa Bucci, where the exhibition Ceramiche Molaroni: il gesto fedele (Molaroni Ceramics: The Faithful Gesture) will be held from November 16, 2025, to January 10, 2026. This title immediately evokes the idea of an art carefully, almost devotedly, handed down, and it finds its place in Franco Bucci's former workshop, now a cultural center and a symbolic location for the city. Here, within the walls that for decades hosted experiments, firings, and artistic visions, a selection of pieces from the Molaroni family's private collection traces nearly one hundred and fifty years of activity of one of Italy's oldest and most renowned manufactures.
The exhibition, curated by Viviana Bucci and promoted by the Associazione Culturale Società dell’Uso with the support of the Marche Region and the patronage of the Municipality of Pesaro, is an invitation to delve into the history of the factory founded at the end of the nineteenth century by Vincenzo Molaroni. On display are vases, plates, amphorae, and other works that tell the story of the workshop's birth, evolution, and various identity transformations, from the first Benucci & Latti company in 1880 to the subsequent Società Anonima Ceramiche Molaroni & C. in 1921, up to the brands that have accompanied the twentieth century and the new millennium.

The setting for all this is Pesaro, a city that is part of the Italian Association of Ceramic Cities and that preserves a centuries-old tradition spread across museums, archives, workshops, and historic ateliers. Casa Bucci is one of its most recognized strongholds, guardian of the Franco Bucci Archive and an integral part of the city's museum network. It is therefore not surprising that this very place was chosen to tell what the Molaroni family has represented and continues to represent for the territory and for Italian ceramics
